Notice: Guide Supports OS 1.0 to 1.0.2
( If your iPhone 2G is on a higher firmware and it has a serial number of XX748 or lower, it can be downgraded ).

"iBrickr is the Windows application that makes it dead simple to modify your iPhone, add and manage custom ringtones, and install third-party applications."

Download Mirror from Legacy Archives [r/LegacyJailbreak]

IMPORTANT! iBrickr was designed for Windows XP. It does not run on Windows 10. If you're using Windows 10, use VMWare Player to create a Windows XP Virtual Machine for iBrickr. Do not use VirtualBox.

First-Time, One-Time Installation:
  1. Download and Extract iBrickr
  2. Connect iPhone to Windows XP Machine
  3. Open iBrickr.exe and quickly press the Files button.
    1. If an Internet Explorer Error Window appears, it means you did not click Files fast enough
    2. Repeat: Close iBrickr and open it again until you selected Files quickly enough.
  4. Congratulations! That step only had to be done once!
  5. Select < Back, then Install PXL
  6. When iBrickr tells you to restart your iPhone, manually hold power on iPhone and shut it off. After you're sure it's off, hold the iPhone's power button to turn it back on.
  7. Select Continue on iBrickr
  8. When iBrickr tells you to restart your iPhone again, repeat Step 6.
  9. Select Check PXL on iBrickr
  10. SUCCESS! You can now close iBrickr or begin installing apps right away!
Installing PXL Apps:
  1. Connect iPhone to Windows XP Machine
  2. Open iBrickr, and select Applications
  3. Select install from PXL file, and select your PXL file
  4. Wait a few seconds
  5. NOTE: If the app does not appear on your phone after installation, wait a little while. if the app still does not appear, it is the PXL App's fault. Try installing a different version of the app.

Troubleshooting / FAQ:

Newer iPhone firmware > 1.0.2 are NOT compatible with iBrickr. For these situations, a hard drive recovery site may help. If you try to use iBrickr and your phone starts scrolling crazy text and resetting, use these steps to fix it:
- Restart your computer.
- Plug the iPhone in to USB on a computer with iTunes 7.5 installed.
- Press and hold the Power and Home buttons until the iPhone asks to be connected to iTunes.
- Use iTunes to restore your phone.
- Do not use iBrickr anymore
