Issue with installing via webapp

I am using ipad 1 iOS 5.1.1. I tried to install apps via the webapp. All failed.

I tried to install ibook, chrome & dropbox. All went the same way..
  1. waiting...
  2. installing...
  3. <name of app>
  4. Alert box: Unable to Download Application "<app name>" could not be installed at this time. 2 options Done & Retry
I retried multiple times during the day. Same error.

Any suggestions on what I can do? I don't have the required app to install ipa directly.

Hello , I see that you're a new member so welcome to the forum.

Also , Installing apps using the webapp isn't the only way to install them on an old device .
You can Jailbreak your iPad and install any IPA ( app ) file using a tool called "IPA Installer"
