Is there a way still to downgrade?

Hello, everyone! I'm a new member here.

I have a question, is there a way to downgrade an IOS device?
I have a mint-condition IPhone 4S that is running IOS 9.
IOS 9 is VERY slow on these devices and i would like to give that IPhone some life by downgrading
to IOS 6 (not 5 because its a newer model).

So, any ideas?

Yes, there is a way to downgrade your iPhone 4S.
If it's jailbroken then, in Cydia enter the repo: repo.tihmstar.net
After that search for "kDFU" and install it.
Next step, launch the kDFU app from the home screen and check every box on this app.
After that, your iPhone 4S is on kDFU mode.
On Windows, you must have 3uTools, if you have it then go on "Flash & JB", and go on "Quick Flash Mode".
Then, use the ota_iPhone4,1.ipsw and start flashing.
And there you go, iOS 6 on your iPhone 4S.
PS: If you want to jailbreak your iPhone 4S, then install iTunes 12.6 and start jailbreaking on 3uTools.

you can actually still downgrade the iPhone 5s, iPad Air 1st generation and the iPad Mini 2 back to iOS 10.3.3, though you need iOS-OTA-Downgrader for macOS/PC. this had nothing to do with what this post was about but I just wanted to let people know it's still possible to downgrade a select few 64 bit devices. you can also use "Divisé" (a tethered dualbooting tool for jailbroken 64 bit iPhones/iPads that supported iOS 10 or lower) from the Dynastic repo if it hasn't already shut down.
