wondering if anyone has a copy of the app files connect I loved it years ago and all I can find online is their website with a dead link https://www.antecea.com/apps/Files_conn/overview.html

After a very long time looking for the same app, I finally managed to find it on an old backup, restore that backup and extract it from my device. It's my first attempt at cracking so hopefully it's worked.
I can confirm that it opens on iOS 9.3.5 & 8.4.1, but it failed to start up on my iOS 6.1.3 coolbooter partition.

Thus, your mileage may vary. That said, here is (what I believe to be) the only surviving install-able copy of Anteccea's Files Connect.
